Expertise: Research, Review and Evaluate Impacts
Understanding how others have approached the problems facing festival, event and venue developers and operators can give great insight and help towards finding a solution. FEI has an extensive database of information, statistics and case studies from festivals, events and venues from around the world. We like to think our knowledge of the sector is unrivalled and to support festival organisers we have developed a comprehensive benchmarking tool:
The FEI Festival Health Check and Peer Review provides quantitative and qualitative information for festival stakeholders and management to assess their organisation’s performance against a set of key indicators.Undertaken by a recognised industry expert, the review will provide a supportive framework for internal discussion as well as making recommendations for possible areas of improvement. The Review responds to the increasing need for Culture Services to justify and improve upon their existing delivery models, whilst identifying cost savings and revenue opportunities. Detailed post-event evaluation is an important part of the event manager’s toolkit and FEI has extensive experience of working with specialist consultancies to design economic and social impact evaluation studies. We have undertaken benchmarking studies for a number of clients including Singapore Arts Festivals, Bath Festivals and the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and more detailed evaluation for clients including Three Choirs Festival and Broadstairs Folk Week.
