Expertise: Feasibility Studies and Options Appraisals
|
Undertaking a careful analysis of the feasibility of a project, be it developing a new festival or building a cultural venue, it a vital part of early stage planning. It should consider the risks as well as the benefits and consider all the options available before proceeding to the next stage.
OPTIONS APRAISAL
Arts Council England commissioned FEI Consulting to look at the options for Producing Theatre in Derby and the potential for Outdoor Dance in the West Midlands. In both cases FEI assembled a team of experienced industry practitioners from the Theatre and the Dance sectors who undertook a careful assessment of the options and made practical suggestions for the way forward.
FEASIBILITY STUDIES
Starting a new festival is a major undertaking and when the Commonwealth Foundation wanted to consider the feasibility of starting a new Commonwealth Cultural Festival, FEI were able to produce a carefully appraised set of options to support their thinking. When the British Equestrian Federation had ambitions to develop a major new riding event in London to promote horse riding to new groups they turned to FEI for advice on the feasibility of the idea. The Burgh Hall Trust looked to FEI for advice on the feasibility of starting a new Film Festival on Scotland’s west coast and we were able to assess the options available to them.
FEI has in-depth industry knowledge available through experienced practitioners, so when the South East Regional Development Agency wanted to consider the feasibility of commercial development of Temporary Structure for Festivals and Events, FEI were able to access the UK’s most experienced production managers for detailed advice and recommendations.
